Eager to rent grain farm land in Southern Saskatchewan. Based near Estevan looking primarily in the Estevan/Benson/Macoun/North Bienfait area, as far west as Radville as we have base near there as well. Willing to also look elsewhere in the southern half of the province for the right opportunity.

3rd-Generation Saskatchewan farmer father and son operation re-entering agriculture (out 2000, back in 2019) and looking for land to rent to expand our operation, to a size similar to the small family farm we left years prior.

At the moment we are farming a small owned chunk of land and a rented quarter section near Estevan. Looking to grow to a currently very manageable 1000-1500 acres, though able to expand slightly larger.

Older well-cared for equipment, suitable to cover far more ground yearly than we currently farm, with plans in place to increase seeding and harvest capacity as well as upgrade to high clearance spraying along with land aquisition.

Direct one pass minimum-tillage seeding, herbicide weed control, crop rotating. Disk for breaking ground. Soil testing done, beginning to trial and experiment with adding soil conditioning inputs such as humic and fulvic acids, with a main focus of our trials aiming to find a positive benefit of soil condition (pH, compaction, salt levels, water infiltration and retention, etc.) in regards to dealing with harsh weeds such as kochia beyond using herbicides and tillage. Willing to carry conditioning inputs over to rented land circunstantially.

Interested in looking at any amount of land to get us closer to a currently manageable 1000-1500 acre operating range. Large enough to keep us busy for the grow season, but small enough that we can keep a narrowed focus on maximizing and improving what we're working with.
